Next-generation Security Platform Streamlines Management and Enables Uniform Application Usage Policies for 50 Sites.

Santa Clara, Calif., June 18, 2014 - Palo Alto Networks (NYSE: PANW), the leader in enterprise security, today announced that CAME Group, an Italian holding company that operates several leading manufacturing, home and building automations, and customer service businesses, has selected, deployed, and standardized security for its global infrastructure on the Palo Alto Networks next-generation security platform. The Palo Alto Networks devices are providing security for nearly 50 CAME Group offices and facilities in more than 40 countries.

"Since standardizing on Palo Alto Networks, we can easily manage all of our security devices and user policies worldwide from one central location and interface," says Massimiliano Tesser, Group CIO, CAME Group. "We've increased security, and significantly streamlined network management burdens, allowing us to assign some IT staff to work on growth initiatives and improved service to users. Palo Alto Networks solved all of our security and network performance issues well beyond what we could have imagined or expected."

CAME Group was introduced to Palo Alto Networks to help them achieve uniform application usage policies for all of its locations, deliver better services, consolidate network devices, and improve security and network responsiveness. After reviewing offerings from competitors, CAME Group chose the Palo Alto Networks security platform proposed by the partner NGS (Next Gen Solutions) jointly with the distributor Exclusive Networks, being the most appropriate solution given the company's requirements. Palo Alto Networks security platform offers more functionality, performance, and manageability than legacy firewalls. CAME Group recognizes the value inherent in Palo Alto Networks comprehensive approach, which provides threat and reporting capabilities, all-in-one secure VPN - and more - built into each security device.

With Palo Alto Networks, CAME Group was able to remove 100 devices from its network and eliminate the cost of paying 50 IT consultants, saving it an estimated US $2.5 million per year. CAME Group also developed uniform application usage policies for all 50 of its offices, and resolved problems with application availability and network access for traveling staff.

The deployment consists of two Palo Alto Networks PA-3000 Series and 40 PA-200 devices, including Threat Prevention, IPS, URL Filtering, a subscription to WildFire, and the M-100 Panorama management appliance. WildFire gives CAME Group integrated protection from advanced malware and threats by proactively identifying and blocking unknown threats commonly used in modern cyberattacks. Panorama centralized management software enables CAME Group to easily manage all of its security devices and web policies for all of its offices from just one location and one interface.
